In Step One, we’ll help you log in to Notion and set up your account. Open your preferred web browser and navigate to Notion.com or Notion.so. Once you’re there, click “Get Notion Free” or “Sign Up” in the top right-hand corner of your screen. 

When prompted to choose your sign-in method, you can choose either an Apple/Google account or link it to your email. We suggest linking it to a professional or personal email account rather than your school email address, since it may outlive your access to a school email account. 

If you went the email-login route, it will prompt you to grab the verification code sent to your email inbox. Follow the prompts to do this.

Once you’re logged in to your account, we’ll need to add our custom template.

For Step 2: In the same web browser, copy and paste https://tangible-warlock-773.notion.site/My-Future-Starts-Here-2a2caf6cc8408115bb69da96b718a615?source=copy_link into the search bar. Once it’s pulled up, click the “duplicate” button in the top right-hand corner to add the template to your workspace. 

Adding the template to your workspace makes it your own. Your Ropes coach won’t be able to access your template or change it in any way – it’s yours to keep for the future, edit, and update as you wish. We have some recommendations for how best to use it.

As we mentioned before, you may find that you love using Notion, and there are plenty of resources online to use it for other organizational tasks as well. In the next steps, we will update your template to reflect your job search or help you prepare it for when you start applying to jobs.
